Should We Be Encouraging Devs To Learn SEO?
In the #268 issue of the SEOForLunch we discuss the relationships between SEOs and Developers. We also highlight THREE great link building posts this week.
Hi Lunch Buddies!
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. It was definitely Super Bowl Sunday here in the LeRoy household. While sadly, the Vikings weren’t playing, we didn’t let it hold us back from having a good time. For game day food, I smoked up a pork shoulder (pulled pork sandwiches), and then we made a chili cheese Velveeta dip and a plethora of chips and snack items.
Hit REPLY and let me know what you did/ate for the big game!
Let’s jump into this week’s issue.

Why Should Developers Learn SEO?
What's Important:
Developers need to build resources and SEOs need to help them get discovered. With that said, why would developers want to learn SEO? Google’s Martin Splitt and Monica Lent discuss how “build it and customers will come” simply isn’t true.
Nick’s Take:
In one of my favorite Google series, Martin and the team continue to break down the barriers between developers and SEOs. This video shows how developers who typically work with facts (code) can join the complex and uncertain world of SEO.
Google Completes Migration Of All Messages Into The New Google Search Console Interface
What's Important:
Google announced on 2/9 that all GSC messages have been migrated to the new interface. You can find more details about messages here in Google’s official docs.
Nick’s Take:
This is not a huge update. However, I suspect some people might be alarmed by the number of messages they are seeing in the new Google Search Console interface.
